Can I Search Broward County Public Records on the Internet?

By Jason Voxly

While you will normally be told no, it is not the case for Broward County. They have all of their public records online from 1978 to the current day. Searching for Broward County Public Records could not be an easier.

As most counties do, Broward has their own website, you will need to go to it to start your search: broward.org. When you get there, you can begin the process of starting your search. Find the option for 'find an agency' and click on it.

You will now be redirected to an A to Z page. From here, you will need to find 'Records' and then click on that. You will now get redirected to the records division.

Now you are officially in the Broward County Records Division. Here you will find a variety of options and may want to root around for a bit to see exactly what you can get from this site. It is absolutely loaded with information. It will also give you access to any form you will need if you do not find what you want online. Since we are going to try and stay with modern times though, we are going to click on 'Search and Copy' to get where we need to go.

This is where the fun starts. You will see a bunch of menu choices in the middle of the page. The first one will be a link for you to choose if you cannot get what you want via the net, remember that one. The button to the right will say 'public records' and that is our choice. You will have to read through a disclaimer and make sure you read it! It gives you information that you must know about before searching. Once you have completed and are willing to adhere to their terms, click on the 'I accept' button and you are in.

From here, it is a piece of cake. You are taken into a screen where you will enter the name of the person or business that you are doing research on and then click the 'search records' button. Here you will find out if there are any public records of the person you are looking for in a matter of seconds. If the search does come up with something, all you have to do is click on the highlighted characters and it will show you a copy of the document. That is all it takes when searching for Broward County Public Records.
